The TellerScan 230 creates the highest quality images of both sides of a check at up to 30 items per minute while simultaneously capturing the MICR information. Featuring a 20 item feeder and Digital Checks's proven single pass transport with dual CIS image sensors, DCC's TS-230 is ideal for scanning batches of items at the teller window. Scanning the checks at the point of deposit, can increase teller efficiency through CAR/LAR recognition and image capture.
DCC's new tricolor CIS module provides the highest image definition available with today's countertop check scanners. As each check is scanned, it is analyzed before adaptive thresholding into black and white with DCC's proprietary software technology to sharpen the edges of characters and provide a sharp, easy to read image and one that is 'recognition friendly'. Alternatively 4 bit (16 shades) or 8 bit (256 shades) grayscale images may be captured. When combined with DCC's anti-skew transport, this makes for superior OCR/ICR recognition of machine print, courtesy amounts and legal amounts, signatures, and name/address information.
Needing less than 5" x 11" of counter space the TS-230 is designed for use by tellers and in low volume ARC or POP applications. Its jam resistant drop-in feeder and double feed detection ensures no missed items - allowing your tellers to reliably capture deposited checks while serving the customers. The combination of the TS-230's capture speed and feeder ensures that customers do not wait in line while their checks are captured. In fact tests show that tellers using the TS-230 can outperform tellers accepting deposits in their current fashion. But the TS-230 is also ideal for small back office deposits such remittances that can be cleared through NACHA's ARC or POP direct debit.
